Vernie J. Eiler, 63 of Kirksville passed away Tuesday (July 10, 2012) at Twin Pines Adult Care Center.

The son of Carl and Lizzie Marie (Glaspie) Eiler, he was born January 15, 1949 in Kirksville, Missouri He grew up in Kirksville and attended the Kirksville schools. He enjoyed fishing and riding his bike. He was a very friendly person.

Vernie is survived by two brothers, Randy Eiler and Terry Eiler both of Kirksville; two sisters, Kathy Eiler of Kirksville and Susie Dawson of Georgia; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Carl, Sammy and Clifford Eiler; and four sisters, Margaret Mountain, Sara Booth, Virginia Thudium and Violet Eiler.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday (July 13, 2012) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Llewellyn Cemetery in Kirksville.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, 2100 E. Shepherd Ave., Kirksville, MO 63501   660-665-2233
