Bradley Eugene “Brad” Barnes, 55, of Centralia, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
He was born on September 9, 1971, to the late Larry and Rebecca “Becki” (Parton) Barnes.
He graduated from Knox County R-I High School in Edina, Missouri, with the Class of 1989. Following graduation, he continued his education at Linn Technical College in Linn, Missouri.
Brad was the owner and operator of Little Debbie Retail Sales, a business he proudly operated until his declining health prevented him from continuing.
Brad enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including watching NFL and college football, deer hunting, spending time at the farm, listening to music, and gaming with his son, Riley. Above all, Brad's greatest joy was being a father. He especially loved watching Riley participate in his many sporting activities and was always proud to cheer him on. The time they spent together created memories that will forever be cherished.
Brad is survived by his son, Riley Barnes of Hallsville, Missouri; his sister, Jennifer Nicole Barnes of Centralia, Missouri; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Rebecca “Becki” Barnes; his paternal grandparents, Claude Franklin and Selma Faye (Lancaster) Barnes; and his maternal grandparents, Bob and Jean Parton.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Playle-Rimer-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Kirksville, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a burial to follow at Park View Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association or Riley Barnes for his future educational cost.
