Cathy Elaine Adams

Cathy Elaine Adams, 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2025, at The Arbors in Kirksville, Missouri.

Born on June 12, 1956, in Kirksville, MO, Cathy was the daughter of Wilford “Jack” and Opal Walker. She was welcomed into heaven by her parents; her sister, Patricia “Pat” Fredman; her brother, Charles Walker; her dear friend and companion, Robert “Bob” Henselman; and her cherished pets, Mack and Jimma.

Cathy spent many years working in the banking industry, with roles in Meriden, Kansas, and Kirksville, Missouri. Her work was never just a job, she truly loved helping people and often spoke of her coworkers and customers like they were family.

She found joy in the little things: holiday gatherings with her children and grandchildren, spending time outdoors, and taking road trips with Bob. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and stories.

Cathy leaves behind a family who loved her deeply: her daughter Corey Ward and husband Irving of Dallas, Texas; her son Ted Adams and wife Sabra of Greentop, Missouri; and her daughter Amy Hills and husband Jon of Kirksville, Missouri. She is also survived by her sister, Sharon Hatcher of Edina, Missouri, along with many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren who brought light into her life.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Playle Rimer Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Kirksville. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 p.m.

Cathy will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the way she made everyone feel like they belonged.
