George Charles Bradburn Jr.
November 1, 1947 - October 24, 2025George Charles Bradburn Jr., born in LaPorte, IN, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the age of 77.George faithfully served the Lord in a variety of capacities in multiple small community churches throughout the Midwest. He led worship with joy, taught God's Word with passion, and sang praises with deep devotion. He had a gift for connecting with people and never met a stranger—everyone who crossed his path felt welcomed and valued.
Baseball was one of George's great passions. He loved not only the game itself but the opportunity it gave him to mentor and teach younger generations. Through coaching and encouragement, he shared both skills and life lessons with countless young people.
George's life was marked by genuine faith and human frailty. His later years brought difficult circumstances and deep regret; yet even then, he continued to immerse himself in God's Word, teach it to others, and mentor those around him. His faith was sustained by the love of family—a family with deep roots in ministry. Nothing meant more to him than time with his son Charles and daughter-in-law Shanna, especially when she brought her homemade chocolate chip cookies. Through it all, George held firmly to the truth he had preached: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38-39).
George is survived by his wife Paulette, his son Charles (Shanna), his grandchildren Graison and Kaylin, his younger sister Penny, and his younger brothers Ken (Anita) and Tom (Lynn).
George is preceded in death by his parents George Sr. and Jeanette, and his brother-in-law Jack (Penny) Tanner.
