Lewis Franklin Roop

Lewis Roop was born in Adair County on March 17th, 1936 to Lewis E. Roop and Pearl L. (Holt) Roop.

Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, Grandparents Henry Jackson Roop and Rebecca Alice (Dale) Roop. Lewis was also preceded in death by his Uncle’s Wills Roop, Gilbert Roop, Aunt’s Jewell (Roop) Phillips and Bessie Roop. Two cousins, James Edward Roop and Judith Ann (Roop) Ballinger.

Lewis is survived by one Cousin Joyce Alice (Roop) Ledford (Orin) of Green Castle and a friend and caretaker, Harold Love. 

Lewis was raised in Adair County. He enjoyed being outside and was very passionate about cleaning up his neighborhood. He liked to read and watch movies at the movie theater.

A graveside service will be Monday September 16th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville, MO.
