Robert Turner

Robert A Turner, 88, passed away on March 8, 2026. He was born February 6, 1938, to Kenneth and Juanita Hayward Turner. Robert had been a resident of Jefferson County, Missouri, since 1964.

Robert entered the armed forces in May of 1956 after completion of Kirksville Senior High School. He served 8 years in the military and was then employed by Xerox Corp in St. Louis, MO as a service technician.

Robert married Lavena Hanes Turner of Kirksville, in 1956, who preceded him in death after 45 years of marriage.

Robert is survived by his children, Rebecca (Ron) Wegener, Tim (Sue) Turner, grandchildren, Justin (Ashley) Wegener, Chad (Teresa) Wegener, Tyler Turner and great grandchildren, Finn Wegener, Everret Wegener, Jade Wegener, Morgan Wegener, Gianna Wegener.

Robert was a lifelong member of the masonic order, Scottish Rite, Shrine, Elks, and American Legion.

Mr. Turner has requested graveside services with immediate family only and no acknowledgments. Graveside service will be held at Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville, MO, where he will be interred beside his beloved wife and infant daughter.
