Ronald Francis Westhoff, born on February 27, 1948, in Memphis, Missouri, passed away on September 14, 2025, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri. He leaves behind a legacy as a devoted family man and a proud veteran.
Growing up in Memphis, Ronald received his education locally before earning an associate's degree from Pensacola Junior College. In 1980, he moved to Pensacola, Florida, where he dedicated 25 years to a civil service position at NAS Pensacola. Ronald proudly served in the United States Navy and often reflected on his military service during the Vietnam War as one of his proudest accomplishments.
On April 11, 1976, he married Judy Uber in LaPlata, Missouri. Together, they built a life filled with familial bonds and shared interests. Ronald had a passion for home improvement projects and enjoyed watching football, as well as visiting the casino.
Ronald is survived by his daughter Natalie Westhoff of Grain Valley, Missouri; stepdaughter Melissa Knight of Pensacola, Florida; and stepson Michael Booth of Owensville, Missouri. He is also mourned by his grandchildren Austin Westhoff (wife Kathryn) of Independence, Missouri; Jonathon Booth of Owensville, Missouri; Tiffany Knight-Rouse of Pensacola, Florida; and Edward Knight of Los Angeles, California. His great-granddaughters, Lenora and Lydia Rouse, also survive him. Ronald is further survived by one sister, Michaelene Hart of Pacific, Missouri, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his beloved wife Judy Westhoff, his parents, and his siblings Helen Shoemaker and Russell Westhoff.
Ronald Francis Westhoff will be remembered for his dedication to family and country, as well as his warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In honor of Ronald's wishes, a cremation will take place with a private burial.
