Rose Lee Trammel

Rose Lee Trammel, 93, of rural Queen City passed away Friday night, September 3, 2021 at her home in rural  Queen City, Missouri.

The daughter of R.V. and Ethel (Martin) Rhoades, she was born April 25, 1928 in Jimtown, Missouri. The family moved to Worthington, Missouri, when she was eleven years old.  She attended Worthington grade school and graduated from the Unionville High School.

On December 24, 1948, in Worthington, Missouri, she was united in marriage to John W. Trammel who preceded her in death. She and John lived in Worthington until 1953 when they moved to Queen City. When first married she worked in Kirksville at the Glove Factory for three years. She was a homemaker and also did some babysitting.

Rose Lee is survived by her daughter, Kathy Deierling and husband Michael of rural Queen City; two granddaughters, Melissa Crossgrove and husband Paul of Queen City, and Scarlett Mohr of Moulton, Iowa. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, Brittany Crossgrove of Moberly, MO, Katelyn Crossgrove of Kansas City, MO, Nicholas Crossgrove and Dannan Titus of Sibley, MO, Jada Crossgrove of Queen City, Lane Mohr and Emma Morris of Memphis, MO, Ty Rhoades of Iowa City, IA, and Dylan Mohr and Jasmine Rew of Moulton, IA; a sister-in-law, Ruth Trammel of Yukon, OK, and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; and a son-in-law, Clinton Smith.

Rose Lee was a member of the Lancaster Baptist Church. She was a charter member of The Modern Mrs. Club, belonged to the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, and the Worthington Garden Club.

She loved to china paint. When she no longer could do that, she spent many hours crocheting and did fabulous colored pencil art.

Visitation will be after noon Tuesday (September 7, 2021), with the family greeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, Missouri.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday (September 8, 2021) in the Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Crossgrove officiating. Burial will be in the Jimtown Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Nicholas Crossgrove, Lane Mohr, Ty Rhoads, Dylan Mohr, Gary Baumwart, and Joel Crossgrove.
