Park View Memorial Gardens & Maple Hills Cemetery

Thank you to everyone who attended our recent community meeting. We appreciate the opportunity to connect, listen, and gather input as we continue working to better serve the Kirksville community and care for these important spaces.

Help Us Stay Connected – Contact Information Needed

One of the most important takeaways from the meeting is the need for updated contact information. We are asking all families with loved ones interred at Park View Memorial Gardens or Maple Hills Cemetery to submit their contact information—even if you believe we may already have it.

This will allow us to better communicate important updates such as:

  • Seasonal clean-up dates
  • Policy updates
  • Upcoming events and notices

We ask that you call (660) 665-2233 or fill out the submission form below for our records:

  • Your Name - First & Last
  • Phone Number
  • Email
  • Mailing Address
  • Cemetery Location
  • Park View Memorial Gardens or Maple Hills Cemetery
  • Name(s) of Loved One(s) Interred
  • Relationship to the Deceased (optional)
  • Whether You are Next of Kin
  • Immediate next of kin is typically a spouse, adult child, parent, or sibling

Please note we will never use your information for marketing or solicitation. Your information will be kept securely in our records for use of communication going forward.

Cemetery Rules & Regulations

Cemetery rules and regulations are now available on our website for easy access and download. Click here to view.

One important reminder:
Please keep flowers and flags placed in vases.

We also discussed the need to better define what qualifies as “worn or tattered.” At this time, our team will leave all items in vases, regardless of condition, while we work to clarify this internally and ensure consistency moving forward.

New Cemetery Superintendent

We are pleased to welcome Michael Bryant as our new Cemetery Superintendent. Michael is a U.S. Army Veteran who brings a strong sense of service and respect to this role. He is especially committed to honoring those laid to rest, including proper care and respect for American flags throughout the cemetery.

Local Commitment & Communication

While ownership is based in the Columbia area, we have team members who live and work locally in Kirksville and Atlanta, Missouri.

We are committed to:

  • Returning calls and emails as quickly as possible
  • Improving communication with all families
  • Continuing to care for each resting place with respect and attention

Community Advisory Board (Coming Soon)

We are working to establish a local cemetery advisory board made up of community members with loved ones interred at our cemeteries.

This group will help:

  • Provide input on cemetery improvements
  • Assist in clarifying rules and expectations
  • Offer guidance on future planning and events

More details will be shared soon. If interested in applying to become a cemetery board member, please email office@playlerimermillard.com.

Looking Ahead

As we move into the spring season, families can expect:

  • Continued improvements to cemetery grounds
  • Better communication through email and mailed notices
  • Posted signage within the cemetery for clean-up dates and guidelines

Maintenance Requests

If you have a concern or maintenance request, please call or email us directly.

We take all requests seriously and will address them as quickly as possible. Some items—such as grass growth or mole activity—may take additional time, but we are committed to following through on every request.

We are grateful to those who attended and shared their thoughts. We look forward to continuing to listen, improve, and serve the Kirksville community and the families who entrust us with the care of their loved ones.
